Association of Charolais and Aubrac Cattle Breeders in Hungary
The Charolais breed is one of the most recognized and sought-after breeds in the world. It has great growth potential, good growth potential, large muscle mass, and is almost at the top of the list in the production of heavy carcasses. Due to its excellent grazing ability and feed utilization, it also makes good use of poorer quality pastures. It is a particularly easy-to-handle breed. The preservation, breeding and refinement of these excellent qualities are the express interests of the breed.
The Charolais and Aubrac Breeders' Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) was established with the aim of sustainably improving the production and non-production-related value-measuring characteristics of animals belonging to the breed through its Breeding Program, while preserving the unique characteristics characteristic of the breed.
The Breeding Program was developed by the founding members of the Association in cooperation with the Breeding Committee of the Association (hereinafter referred to as the TSZB). According to the Statutes, the TSZB is the decision-making body that plans and controls the professional work of the Association, and its fundamental task is to define, adhere to and enforce the Breeding Program.
The breeding goal of the Association can be achieved in cooperation with the TSZB and the breeding manager. The goal of the Association cannot be contrary to the interests of the breed, so a short, medium and long-term strategy is developed that continuously serves the quality selection of the breed. The Breeding Program is the cornerstone of this strategy.
The Breeding Program was developed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/1012 of the European Parliament and of the Council
(hereinafter: EU Animal Breeding Regulation).
